When you were a child do your remember the first time you felt really scared? At that age perhaps the words or phrases didn't come that easy much less understand them in an adult context but you DO remember being scared, right? And just how powerless you felt. Perhaps you didn't know the word "powerless" but you knew the feeling.
We can apply that kind of experience in so many ways to all of us no matter what age we are.
Powerless.
The village is made up of so many good, caring, decent people. Cutting across all socio-economic racial lines we are a village with something to say about what happens to us in this lifetime we occupy.
As regards the safety of all children WE ARE the village. No matter the size of our community.
You remember being scared as an adult? Do you recall that brief flash of fear that gripped you so hard so fast you had no control over it?
How does a child feel when they are abducted? What kind of powerlessness is that? We ask, respectfully, for you to try and see it, feel it, how the child must have felt.
Sex offenders, drug dealers, child abductors, gangs.
It is with the utmost respect we ask all of you to take a look at your community and how you could work with the police, your neighbors, community leadership, to lay a gauntlet down between the children of your community and child predators who would do them harm.
Let it be said of all of us, one precious person at a time
I tried!
It is the business of the community to raise all kids on the SAFEST STREETS POSSIBLE! NOT A BUSINESS TO PROFIT FROM!
